
Day 14 of the 21-Day CrossFit Weight Loss Challenge: Active Recovery Day
Congratulations! You've reached the end of week two of the challenge. Today is a special day set aside for active recovery, giving your body a chance to rest and get ready for week three. The main goals today are releasing muscle tension, improving flexibility, and rebuilding your energy.
Daily CrossFit workouts at the CrossFit gym Drago Gym
Warm-Up
Duration: 5-7 minutes
Goal: Increase blood flow to the muscles and prepare for stretching.
2 minutes of brisk walking or light jogging.
1 minute of jumping jacks.
1 minute of dynamic arm and leg swings.
2 sets of 10 easy bodyweight squats.
Active Recovery Workout
Duration: 10-15 minutes
Goal: Release muscle tension and improve flexibility.
Stretches:
Child’s Pose: 1 minute
Stretches the lower back and arms; breathe deeply and calmly.Downward Dog: 1 minute
Stretches the hamstrings, calves, and shoulders.Side Stretch: 1 minute per side.
A gentle stretch for the muscles along your sides.Cat-Cow Stretch: 1 minute
Stretches and releases the lower back and spine.Hamstring Stretch: 1 minute per leg.
Glute Bridge: 2 sets of 10.
Strengthens the glutes and lower back.Low Plank: 2 sets of 20 seconds.
Keep your core engaged.Cool-Down
Duration: 5 minutes
Goal: Bring the body back to its resting state and relax.
1 minute of deep breathing.
1 minute of torso twists.
1 minute of quad stretch per leg.
Day 14 Nutrition Tips
Breakfast: A fruit smoothie with almond milk, banana, and a little whey protein.
Snack: A handful of nuts or a few dates with almonds.
Lunch: Grilled chicken breast with steamed vegetables and brown rice.
Dinner: A fresh vegetable salad with tuna or lentils.
Drink enough water: At least 2.5 liters throughout the day for hydration and detox.
